Panama free trade zone software

Operating in the Colón Free Trade Zone — the world's second-largest — requires software that handles re-export workflows, separate ZF inventory, and ANA-specific documentation.

The Colón Free Trade Zone (ZLC) is the second-largest free trade zone in the world and the largest in the Americas. Operating there — or in other Panamanian FTZs like Panama Pacifico — requires software that handles the specific regulatory framework.

Entries, exits, and re-exports

In FTZ, goods can enter without paying duties (suspension), be processed or stored, and exit to the local market (paying duties) or be re-exported (duty-free). Software must distinguish each movement type and generate the correct documentation.

Separate physical inventory

FTZ inventory is accounting-wise distinct from national inventory. Software must maintain both separately and allow independent audits.

FTZ-specific documentation

Re-export declarations, partial nationalization permits, lot-level inventory with origin and destination — each FTZ has its own document set. Software must generate them pre-filled.

Integration with FTZ authorities

In Panama, the Autoridad Nacional de Aduanas (ANA) and the Zona Libre de Colón administration have their own systems. Serious software integrates directly with both.

Regulatory reports

Free trade zones require periodic reports of inventory, operations, and employment generated. Software must generate them automatically in the expected format.

P4 Customs includes specific workflows for Colón Free Trade Zone and other Panamanian FTZs, with re-export support, ZF declarations, and regulatory reports.
