Brazil has 27 tax jurisdictions (states and Distrito Federal), each with ICMS rates, substitution rules, and NFe authorization systems. A compliant software must handle NFe for goods (inter-state), NFS-e for services (municipal), and correctly calculate ICMS-ST (substituição tributária) where applicable.
FacturaHQ connects through local authorized providers in Brazil, which handle NFe transmission to each state SEFAZ and NFS-e to the municipal systems. FacturaHQ does not itself hold authorization in Brazil.
